"We age because we accumulate acidic waste products" according to Sang Whang, author of 'Reverse Aging'.

Dr. Keiichi Morishita in his book "The Hidden Truth of Cancer" explained that if the blood accumulates excess acidic wastes in an acidic condition year after year, the steady increase in acidity causes the cells to die, thus creating a platform for cancer growth.

"The Secret of Life is both to feed and nourish the cells and let them flush their waste and toxins", according to Dr. Alexis Carrell, Nobel Price recipient, and "If our internal environment was changed from an acidic oxygen deprived environment to an alkaline environment full of oxygen, viruses, bacteria and fungus cannot live." Dr. Otto Warburg, a Nobel Price recipient, 1931 & 1944.

Herman Aihara, in his book "Acid & Alkaline", talks about the acidification of extra cellular fluids that causes cancer.

An 85 years old woman whom I knew who had 10 children told me her secret why she was never sick, had never seen a doctor, had no blood pressure problems, no diabetes problems, no heart problems, no stomach problems, no hearing or visual acuity problem, and not even arthritis pain problems. And she is still active working in a food catering business preparing foods the old way, manually.

"I drink a lot of water", she said pointing to a 5-gallon water container on her table. "As soon as I woke up in the morning I started drinking", she said. She takes no herbal supplements or vitamins. "I only eat one good meal a day and plenty of fruits and vegetables".

Water has three basic functions to perform in our bodies: to transport nutrients to our cells, to carry away toxic wastes from the cells, and to regulate our body temperature through hydration. In addition, water can also dilute the high acid concentration in the stomach.

The cycle of acidity begins primarily as a result of three things:

1. Ingesting acids. Eating processed food like fried foods, soft drinks or refined sugars as well as meat, dairy products, coffee, alcohol, etc. are part of acidic diets. These build up of acid salts are stored away from blood flow and can accumulate in the tissues in the body.

2. Pathogens and microforms create acidifying toxins in our body. Bacteria, yeast and microforms proliferate in the body and since they are living organisms they eat as well as create resulting acidifying toxins.

3. Improper elimination of acids. The body uses many systems in order to buffer acids including breath, mineral reserves, and fat. Some weak acids like citric acids are easier to neutralize than strong acids like uric acid. When the body's buffering systems become compromised, excess acids build up.

Extended acid imbalances of any kind can overwhelm your body, and can also lead to health complications like high blood pressure, arthritis, gout, diabetes, indigestion, osteoporosis, cardiac disorders, cancers, etc.

The process of eliminating acids from our body begins with drinking plenty of water, preferably purified
alkaline water, and minimizing consumption of acidic foods, such as foods or food products with low pH.

Drinking much water is not only beneficial for flushing out acidic and other toxic waste from the body, but it can also flush out excess sugar from the blood. People with diabetes, even though on medications, can not always have normal blood sugar level. Fortunately, some of the excess sugar in the body is excreted into the urine through the kidneys. The urine of diabetics, if tested with test strips, is usually positive for sugar, ranging from "small" to very "large".

The blood sugar level of diabetics is usually high 1 or 2 hours after a normal meal. In some instances the sugar in the blood remains high 3 hours after dinner, even when on medications.

Experiments have shown that if people with diabetes regularly drinks plenty of water 1 or 2 hours after a meal, when the sugar in the blood is usually high, it can bring down the blood sugar level in the body.

The extra water in circulation will carry away the excess sugar and waste in the blood, excrete them in the urine, and refresh our body cells naturally.
