Taocoh (taotjo) is a condiment or thick sauce made from fermented soybeans. Taocoh is very popular not only in Indonesia but also in Singapore, China, Philippines, Korea and in other Asian countries.

Taocoh has a unique aroma and flavor that when added to any food or dish will make it taste so much more delicious that you can never forget...... Taotjo is also high in protein.

Taucoh from Medan, Sumatra is usually salty but taocoh from Middle Java, Indonesia is somewhat sweet because of the added sugar. Our taocoh is the best.

I like to sauté my taocoh with onions, jalapeno, a few cloves of garlic, tofu and bean sprouts....simply delicious.
