Tempeh - The World's Finest Food  


  



                                                                       Tempeh BBQ

            


  I am usually not a barbecue lover, whether they are fish, chicken, beef, pork, or any kind of meat product that is barbecued. They are loaded with fat and cholesterol.

And so, I tried to make something different that I believe no one else has ever made before, and that was making TEMPEH barbecue my way, the quick and easy way....

Here are the steps to make delicious tempeh barbecue:

1. Get a block of good tasting tempeh, fresh or defrosted tempeh

2. Cut the slices of tempeh at an angle (see pictures above) about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch thick

3. Heat adequate oil in a frying pan to about 225° Fahrenheit.

6. Fry the tempeh slices until the sides turn golden brown, turning occasionally. Don't fry too long or
    too hot because you don't want them hard and crunchy.

7. Remove the pieces of tempeh from the hot oil and IMMEDIATELY dip them (while still hot) in a bowl
    of your favorite pre-heated barbecue sauce, making sure that the  tempeh pieces are completely
    immersed and covered with the hot BBQ sauce.

8. Finally, remove the tempeh slices from the BBQ sauce and line them on a plate as pictured above.

9. Serve them warm with rice and mixed vegetables....Enjoy!
