Idul Adha is a religious holiday that is celebrated throughout Indonesia by the Muslims. I remember it as "Hari Kurban" when I was a child.
Eid al-Adha or Eid Qurban, also called the "Festival of the Sacrifice", is the second of two Islamic holidays celebrated worldwide each year, and considered the holier of the two. It honours the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God's command. Wikipedia
In Islam, obedience to God's command is celebrated worldwide. Among Christians we have no such holiday, "Festival of the Sacrifice." Instead we celebrated Easter, Christmas, and Halloween, all of which have pagan origins, as our obedience jolidays.
The population of the U.S.A. is about 328 millions. The population of Indonesia is about 272 millions, about 83% of the population in the USA.
The death rate from the Covid-19 pandemic in the USA is about 40,403. The death rate from the Covid-19 infection in Indonesia is about 582. Indonesia is a much smaller country than the USA, much smaller, and social distancing is almost impossible in Indonesia unless you live in the jungle of Borneo. Yet, the Covid-19 death rate is low.
I wonder if the high per capita death rate from the Covid-19 infection in the USA is related to the pagan jolidays that we celebrate in this country? I heard somebody says nonsense? Why wait until nonsense makes sense?
What do you think?
Are you having fun making a mockery of Jesus by celebrating His birthday on a day that wasn't His birthday? And your kids are having fun too making a mockery of Him? Did Jesus ask you to remember to celebrate His birthday? No! Then why did you celebrate a day that He did not ask you to remember or celebrate? You didn't even know when He was born, and so you, your wife, and your children are making fun of Him every year!
Do you remember to keep the Sabbath holy as He had commanded you to do? No! Is remembering a birthday that wasn't His birthday more important than observing His Ten Commandments?
